Position: Benefits Coordinator
Location: Addison, TX (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $60,000 – $70,000 (based on experience)
Job Summary
The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for administering and supporting employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, accident, hospital, and retirement plans. This role serves as the primary contact for benefits-related inquiries and ensures timely, accurate processing of enrollments. The position ensures compliance with regulations (HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA) and collaborates with HR, payroll, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Administer health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability, accident, hospital, identity theft, HSA, and 401(k) plans.
Manage COBRA and FMLA processes.
Serve as the main point of contact for employee benefit inquiries.
Support open enrollment and develop employee benefit communications (emails, flyers, etc.).
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA, and other regulations.
Coordinate court-ordered enrollments and agency remittances.
Review carrier invoices for accuracy; process self-billed invoices and support finance in benefit payments.
Collaborate with payroll, HR, and vendors on benefit transactions.
Assist with benefits reporting, data analysis, and documentation.
Maintain confidentiality and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR support.
Basic knowledge of employee benefits laws and practices.
Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
Customer service mindset.
